Full Band Producton

come in with some chords and a melody and when we are done you’ll walk out with a full band recorded and mixed – all for $499
We’ll do this for any band driven music style in the country/worship(CCM)/rock/etc. vein
What instruments does this include?
- drums (and likely some extra percussion)
- bass
- acoustic guitar
- electric guitar (multiple unique tracks including lead if the song calls for it)
- keys (usually at least 2 of piano, B3, synth, pad, etc.)
I have access to other musician if you want to add some that are not in the standard mix. Studio players that are not too pricey
How does all this Work?
You’ll come into the studio and we’ll first record what is called “scratch” parts. Typically acoustic guitar (which either you or I can record) and you lead vocals. These will eventually be replaced with keeper takes but it gives us something to build the band around. We’ll talk through how you want this song to sound like, referencing other recordings.
We’ll talk about what we believe what other instruments (from above) we will likely use, then you will go home. I’ll start building the band (I am a guitar school grad with decades of live and studio experience, so I’ll likely record any acoustic, electric and bass parts). I’ll book the keyboard player and likely the drummer. Towards the end, I’ll call you back in to do your final vocal and harmonies (unless we want to hire a studio singer for those parts). Once we are happy with that I’ll spend multiple hours getting a pro mix in place and ask you to come back in to approve it.
At that point you’ll be able to leave with a recording of your song that you can forever be proud of sending it to everyone from family and friends and to the music industry people
How Confident should I be ?
When entrusting your song to someone there are several factors you should take into account
- Does your producer/engineer/musician care?
- Hate to say it but my experience in other studios has been you have varying levels of “bought into-ness”. Unfortunately the more notable and expensive studios I have been in seem to hire producers and engineers that just didn’t seem to care that much. Who knows, maybe I just wasn’t famous enough
- When you come to my studio I will be all in with your song. Honestly, I don’t make much money per hour working the per song rate, but seeing a songwriter/artist thrilled with what we have created is something I just am thrilled to see
- Is his gear pro quality?
- If you know recording equipment take a look at my gear. Enough said. If you don’t know studio equipment that well, just know that I could have built this studio for a lot less by using average equipment and hope that clients would realize too late, or just not at all. I take pride in the gear I have and will not do that to you
- Doe he know how to use it?
- There is a couple schools here in Nashville where people can graduate with recording degrees. It pains me to work with too many of them live or talk studio and realize that they have very little real world experience. Not everyone, but too many of them end up in someone else’s studio.
